Crash on completion!

Even though it may appear weird that I finished the game 7 hours after its release... but...

...anyone else had that crash as they completed the final mission? He talks, he talks - crash!

Both thumbs down on that. It was a hard victory, and I feel robbed of my moment ;_;

Happened to me as well while hosting co-op. I even tried running the entire mission again with all video settings set to low/off.

Just continue the campaign, it should load the ending movie immediately. That is what happened to me.

It doesn't for me, it puts me right back at the beginning of the mission...I'm not going to redo the whole thing a third time and crash a third time

time to wait for a patch again

Im having the same problem, I've done the mission three times with a crash each time as I beat the last boss. The rest of the game ran flawlessly.

This is happening to me as well (made a separate post before finding this one), thankfully I have a save before the boss, but i dont know if it holds on to that if you don't load from it (it gives option to load from mid-mission or from bridge. loading from bridge might take me to final cutscene? or it might throw me back at the start of the mission)

I emailed THQ customer service about this issue, the response I got was...

"Relic is currently looking into this issue and believe it is related to how long you take to kill the boss. Can you provide the amount of time it took to beat him?"

I do take my time for the mission helping out the friendly npc's and taking down eliphas before moving onto the final boss. So I guess its going to get fixed in a patch at some point. Maybe just powering to the boss and killing him fast is the current fix, I havent tried yet as after three attempts im pretty fed up with the mission.

CTD after I killed boss first time
Back to game, load to bridge and have to redo the mission again >

The second time, I rushed to Eliphas and try to finish the mission as soon as possible, but my allies were slaughtered without my support and the boss got full HP >_<
Thanks god I saved game right before final fight because I CTD again after killed the fatty
And this time when I tried to load the game, the "load into mission" option was gone, so I guess the process has been updated
After loading to bridge I saw the ending and achievement

Thanks for that tip Chuck_101, I had previously followed Angelos around the whole map killing Chaos until finally going to attack the boss. This time as soon as Angelos told me to attack I went straight for the boss, and although he was at slightly higher health due to BR deaths I was able to kill him and the game didn't crash at the end.
So it sounds like the time you spend may definitely affect this bug

Pure playthrough: I aided Angelos and took my time steadily wearing down ulkair, didn't have the best gear as most of it was held over from my original save. No crash

Corrupt playthrough: Left Angelos to his own means, which ended up with ulkair full health, but using the superior wargear and abilities I actually killed him faster. Crash to desktop. All squads were fully corrupt, including my traitor.

I crashed twice, haven't tried again since. I aided Angelos too, killed Eliphas, and took my time killing Ulkiar, with fully redeemed squads.

Glad I could help lxmcc, I hope the issue is fixed soon. I wont have a chance to try again for a few days and I'd like to not crash on my fourth try.

Im also getting this crash on my full purity playthrough. Ulkair was at 70% health when I attacked. That is pretty embarrasing for relic, how did this get through playtesting?

I crashed too. Right after the GUO gives his speach and I was at the loading screen.

When I went back in it just went straight to the cut scene. I spent forever on that map.
