$80 for a SP game? Lol what?
http://i40.tinypic.com/21432nd.png
I mean really? Most games go for $50. EDIT: To clear any confusion up, this is on the Australian Store. EDIT2: it appears (for now) the game has gone down to the normal price of 49.99. We'll see if this stays. If it does, thank you for correcting the price. EDIT3: it has been brought back up again to 79.99 Last edited by aforumtotalkon1: 03-21-2010 at 09:23 PM. |

So you would be OK with paying 80$ for the game, screw everyone until it affects me right?

Yeah, this is pretty ridiculous. The game looks somewhat interesting, but I'm not gonna pay $80.00USD for Modern Warfare 2, let alone a sp game from an unheard of developer.

The reason I(and I presume the others who share my view) are here, posting in threads like this, is to send a message to the publisher that they are losing sales and potential customers when they pull stupid tricks like this.

I'm beginning to think that that is just a myth now days... When they announced MW2 was going to be $60 on PC, did I go around complaining about it? No. Did I buy it? No. Simple as that. I did rent it, and it was barely worth the free rental... that game sucked. Single player was really poorly made and some parts (like Burgertown) looked really cartoony.

yep same here , 49.99 AND I get Red Faction Guerrilla free for pre ordering , so its actually 2 games for the price of $50.
Its not STEAM and its not THQ thats hosing you OR all the prices all over the world would be high....its got to be taxes or duty fees or something like that thats adding to the cost of doing business there. Write STEAM a letter and ask them to lay it out for you , then print it out take it to your Government and tell em to SHOVE IT!! Its just as the old saying goes , Corporations DO NOT pay taxes....we do!! because they just pass it on , and that is AS it should be....so less taxes and less Government leads to cheaper games. (I added that last part...snicka!!) if it was me I would start a revoultion!!...but thats just how I roll....all Sam Adams and ♥♥♥♥!! |
