sprites problem

hi all,

i wanna install a new sprite for the awp scope...
i downloaded the sniper_scope.spr that i wanted, but since i have steam, i dont have the "sprites" folder in my pc..

when "WON" was, its located on "cstrike\sprites..
now, i dont have this folder (i have maps folder, models folder and all the rest but no sprites) and i dont have any sprite that i can replace ...

where is this folder gone?
when i create myself the flder and paste the sniper scope - nothing happend.

btw...
when "WON" was, there was a 400X300 resolution.. the advantage on this resolution was: when you open your sniper scope you dont see a circle of the game and the other is black... (the eye of the sniper...) you see the game all over the screen, and in the middle there was the X of the snipe scope.

how can i delete this black all around the sniper scope???
