Best $5 games? Best $10 games?

The title says it all. I'm looking for some quality games that are at the $5 or $10 price point. Due to the nature of steam, I'm looking at installing them on my desktop and netbook. The games don't need to be deep, nor long, just fun, and (optionally) light on graphics.

Also, I'm in college and don't have much money.

And yes, I own torchlight. I wish I purchased through Steam, but I supported Runic. *shrug*

<$10: Plenty of great stuff
Half-Life
KoTOR
Braid
Deus Ex
Psychonauts
Audiosurf
Hitman series
And Yet It Moves
Plants vs Zombies

As for <$5, hmm, there aren't really that many.
Overlord
Freedom Force
Beyond Good & Evil (personally didn't like it but many people do, it seems)
Madballs
The Maw

You could also try out Toki Tori, Osmos, Quantz or Chains if you like puzzles.

Games that I saw that are indie or cheap:

TOCA 3, i think this is 9.99
Galcon fusion, indie and 9.99 but 2 dollars when i bought it.
Zero gear, 10 dollars per license when you buy the 4 pack and a GREAT kart game.
Magnetis, fun game, 4.99 and a great game to play.

I have been looking at:

Age of Booty, but the securom kind of scares me.

For 10$ I'd say AudioSurf.
It's great if you like music and have some mp3s on your machines, you can play it everytime as long as you want, from a single song to a whole evening with dozens of songs and you should be able to play it nicely on a netbook, since it doesn't need high specs and you can play it without a mouse (though not so good as with one).

A good 5$ is HL2: DM, though it's not so good as CS:S or DOD:S, but still pretty fun (especially because of the gravity gun).
It has higher requirements than AudioSurf (of course) and it's not a game for netbooks but a good choice if you don't hate shooters (and it's just five bucks, so it could even suck and it wouldn't be too bad )

Really? Then it must be one of those rare games which got their price actually converted (I live in Europe, here it costs 5€. Usually it's €=$, though).

<$10, Pyshconauts. If you haven't played it, do it. It's beyond awesome.

$10 for garrysmod, no doubt that's a steal. Remember to have a source game btw.

My first advice would just be to wait for sales and buy things as they drop to $10 and $5. However, if you want things immediately I'd say Plants vs. Zombies jumps out as well worth the $10. I don't really think Audiosurf is unless you have an extensive music library. A recent release, Sol Survivor, is listed at $10 but I'd give it a few weeks to see how well they work out the initial bugs/the community grows.

I love Toki Tori, Quantz, Psychonauts, KotoR, and Half Life! The other games I quoted are good as well.
