css crashing when i try to start the game... HELP!

When i double click the css on steam it shows me its getting inside the game but then i get a black screen for 2 secs and then nothing... i see my desktop again... please help!!

What are your computer specs? And are all drivers updated?

Did you tried to install skins or any configs, if not, reinstall css

I also get this crash, slightly different though. I launch the game, I see the background as it's loading but it says that for a long time, then it says hl2.exe failed. I have a support ticket going with Valve support atm, I suggest everyone else experiencing this crash submits a ticket too and attaches crash dumps.
