Save game file directory???
Due to the annoying checkpoint save system, it is pretty much impossible to have more than 1 person playing the game without them deleting the last persons progress.
anyone have an idea where the save files are kept so i can attempt to work round this. |

ay i know this is a bit old and all but if one of you could post examples of what the save file is...i have various PLAYER files that seem to be named according to chapter, and one autosave file...i tried pasting those all in the new metro folder after reinstall but they dont show up in-game.

The .player files are your stat's for each level like how much ammo you had and if you had enlightened moments to unlock the alternate ending they would all be saved in those files. Also they will control what level you have unlocked once you pass a level you get the .player file for it. The auto save file just saves the current game when you click continue that file will resume.
You need the files in C:\Users\{User name}\Documents\4A Games\Metro 2033 for the game to read them. I'm on windows 7, im sure its in my documents on any other os. |
