'The new way of Cheating' CSS In eyefinity

Hello.
I'm not a CS:S gamer, but wanted to make this thread anyway since i tried out the new technology from ATI\AMD.

I tried out CS:S with 3 screens in a resolution of 5760x1080 and the game was alot more fun playing like that. And really that people can use this to have a better ingame feeling.

Theres some minor bugs where you can see through walls that should be fixed.
I posted a short youtube clip to show you what i mean.

You should be able to see it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkv7imlV8EY

This should be fixed, since its pretty easy to 'cheat' like this.

Thanks!

I just ordered a XFX RadeonHD 5870 online and I'd be a fool not to try out Eyefinity, but I can't afford three monitors.

That is definitely an advantage over other players.

That is one expensive private cheat you got there.

Well at least you know its 100% VAC proof - and tbh I don't think valve will even bother patching it since its going to affect very few people. A good server admin will still ban you in any case if you abuse it.

Of course not; seeing through walls is not a cheat.

It is more of a bug than anything. But it has an advantage which would be unfair in competitions.

The line between bug and cheat can be very thin. 2 years ago there was a cvar which let you see through walls... it was a "bug" but worked as a wallhack (cheat).

Basically:

"Cheating in video games involves a player of a video game creating an advantage beyond the bounds of normal gameplay, usually to make the game easier"

I'd call it a cheat.

And how do you think aimbots and wallhacks work? They are also exploits, yet you call them cheats.

Unless you're weird and call them bugs aswell.

listen...how old are you? I mean holy $h1t...

there's different types of exploits
There is a very clear line between using hacks

and

crouch-EXPLOIT ... 3 monitor EXPLOIT... ambient occlusion-EXPLOIT

Go look up some league rules for the definition of cheating ...
You will find that it says that exploiting ANY unfair advantage in anyway is considered "cheating"

you've got to be to think using 3 monitors is 'hacking' .. because you've just compared aimbotting to using 3 monitors FACEPALM!

cheating - could be involving hax
cheats = hax

SIMPLE
