STEAM CANT SEE MY GAME INSTALLED?

HI everyone im having a problem i have installed codmw2 and steams sees it and when i play it i can press SHIFT and TAB and steam comes up, BUT Battlefield Bad Company 2 is installed and steam will not see it as a game installed i cant press SHIFT and TAB and talk to friends and when im in the game it dosnt say im in the game? could it be because i have steam on C Drive installed and Codmw2 installed on C drive as well and battlefield bad company 2 Installed on D drive because i cant install it on C drive its too full i have plenty of room on D drive can some one please help me please.

Are you getting a specific error from Steam? That would help.

You have to add the game as a non-steam game, then launch it from within steam.

Yes, what he said. Click "Games" at the top of the Steam window, then click "Add a Non-Steam Game to my Library". The rest should be self explanatory.

did you restart steam after you bought the game?
in my experience, when i buy a game, after downloading the game in my friends list i appear "In game" but no game specified.When i restart Steam the game will apear
