Help with CS:S - Crashes/Stuck on sending client info

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could help me. I am running Windows 7 (perhaps the issue) with 2,4GHz Core 2 Duo, 3GB RAM and ATi X800GT graphics card and having problems running CS:S.

The game keeps hanging and then crashing on sending client info. I have cleared the game cache and this hasn't made any difference. I don't believe it is anything to do with the performance of my machine as I have had it running on a much lesser machine a couple years ago...

Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
