Lost Companions

So once you retire from adventuring (you camp press the top button and click on retire from adventuring, its not permanent) there are the words companions lost somewhere on that list. Is there any way at all to get them back? I tried talking to travellers but my guy just says never mind which means no options. (I lost my companions because they had low morale) Is there any way at all to get them back?

Those, that left you, will eventually reappear somewhere. You can then ask the traveller about their location. Im not sure about the time it takes them to reappear.

I lost a couple of companions due to low morale as well. I think it took several game-months before the traveller knew anything about them. But eventually they should appear again and you can hire them back.
