Server Browser less broken, still doesnt work

so the patch added a few things to the server browser, and i guess fixed a few things, just not for me

before the patch the server lists would update and 9 times out of 10 wouldnt show me a ping. rarely and randomly i would get pings on the first time i looked and if i joined a server, then left it and looked for a new one, no pings.

so now that the browser has been fixed, i now get ping numbers, but they're all 999. occasionally i'll get 1 or 2 with an actual ping, but those are full and the rest are 999. i cant update the list for newer pings, and when it refreshes they all come up as 999

it kind of makes it hard to play when i have to guess which server to join. usually i'll end up on some server where i'm pinging 300+. not a lot of servers put their location in the name, so i cant go that way.

so is there like a fix to make the browser usable or something? i like the game and would like to play, but its not worth it if every server i can seem to find is based on the moon and lags like a MFer.

anyone else got this? any ideas?

Did you filtered the right Region?
Like "Europe" ect.
Or you could try to open the necessary ports for the Game, maybe that'll help you. Sorry I don't know the Ports right now but you can google it.

yep, i filtered it to North america and get 999 pings.
i turned the filter off so they all get thru and they're still all 999

i tried all the combos of filters and it still does it

Still no pings here! The most I ever see is a few at 999, and that's only if I run Steam and the application as admin. Windows 7 64.

So the big change here is that it now only takes me five to ten seconds to see no pings instead of the ~2 mintues before the update. Good effort but I still regret this purchase

yea, i'm also on win7 64

steam and the game are both set to run as admin, they're both completely allowed by my firewall, and all i get are either no pings or 999.

i dont regret the purchase, i expected something like this from an EA game and they sure didnt let me down!

The browser is great except it lists normal servers as hardcore. I get pings from all servers (set my region to North America)

The server browser of TF2 and Counter-strike is a million times better than this.

I can't even see any servers, since the patch I'm getting returned with "failed to connect to EA online"..

My firewall's off, btw.

It's the opposite for me. EVERY server shows a ping now whereas before only a few would show due to rtard regions timing out.

Working perfectly for me, though it worked fine before as well, but it's much better now. Guessing this is some Win7 problem, since that seems to be a recurring theme. All of my buddies keep saying Win7 is /awesome/ and that I should get it - then can't seem to understand why they're having a billion and one crash/error/bug problems with all the games they're playing, but I don't have a single one of the same problems running Vista.

Yeah no pings for me still either, Win7 x64 as well. Funny thing is when I had my computer at my friend's house, the running as admin worked and I was able to see pings that way. Now that I'm at home it doesn't work again.
