TBOGT loading problem

Ok so i was playing TBOGT today and during one of the drug dealing missions (about 13/25) the game froze and i had to ctrl alt del and end the process.

I didnt think much of it and browsed some forums as i was going to stop playing for a while anyway.

I just tried to get back into the game just now and it starts up ok... lets me chose if i want to start The Lost or TBOGT but when i start TBOGT it enters an endless loop of the same 3 loading screens.

If i ctrl alt del it says the game has stopped responding.

I ran steams "verify cache" check as well as defragged the game files but it didnt solve the issue.

I tried to load up the lost and it worked ok.

I think the game may have crashed during an autosave period (though im sure i was mid way through a mission so its unlikely).
