"Failed to contact key server"

Hi,
Im bought FUEL. Im downloading now but when im clicking on the "View game CD key" i got the "Failed to contact key server".
Any idea?
*Thats not the download problem. I got DiRT2 too. And downloading atm too. But i can learn my CD key on Steam.

Same here, I finished the download and tried to start the game, I get the same Failed to contact master server both when I try and start the game or try to view my Cd key.
Restarting steam doesn't work and im quite sure reinstalling won't fix a connection problem either so im not bothering with that :P

Also contacting steam support about this just in case it's not temporary.

Purchased 2 copies, one about 2 hours ago and another for my other pc 30 mins ago. I cannot het the key for the second copy.

I'm having the same problem

I bought the Codemasters Racing Pack and installed FUEL since it had the lowest file size and now I keep getting this error when trying to run it

Bump. Same thing here. Wrote to Steam Support, waiting for a reply now. It seems quite lame, really. Why do we need a CD-Key when buying and playing a game through Steam? Beats me. I have a bad feeling about this. It was far too cheap.

This is the same crap that happened to Prey the last time they put it on sale. People couldn't the get keys.

Because the game uses Games for Windows – LIVE.

But isn't that for the multi-player? shouldn't we atleast be able to play the single-player?
