Games for Windows Live - Connection Problems

I can't go Online with my Games for Windows Live-Account, but if i start GTA 4 or the GTA Epsiodes, it works without any problems. Any ideas?

I am also having problems - I can't connect, which means I can't play this bloody game! No matter what I do, when I quit and go back, everything is from the start.

Some things going wrong for me after I enter the cd key. Is that the same as your 2 problems?

Resolved...
1. Uninstal the Client/Redistributable
2. Delete all GfWL files and folders
3. Reinstall it

I've tried this, still not working.
As a matter of fact, using the 'tool' I can't connect, says I have a problem that I need to resolve;

Code: 80154017

If I login via the web, URL goes to live.xbo.com; Congratulations! Your profile has been created (I've done this so many times)
It says I'm from "US" which is one of the supported countries. but I can't login any other way.

I deleted all cookies, logged in with my e-mail address which it knows is an existing account and password i know works.

The e-mail address you entered is already a Windows Live ID. You can use it to create a Games for Windows - LIVE account. Please enter your password to begin.

The PC tool (which I downloaded) does not connect.

I went and created a whole new account, basically setup my account as "india" and it seems to work, however, dirt now moans that the cd key has been associated to another account, dont know why becuase I never managed to do that (wouldn't sign in!!!)

contacted steam support for help.
