Hi, I will buy Garry's Mod. But I haven't got Half Life 2, DoD Source, CS Source but I have Team Fortress 2.
Am I play the Garry's Mod? Can I use Half Life 2 character, items?
Please answer me... (My bad English..)

You cant use Hl and css characters unless you own the games. I suggest you buy the full Orange Box and then GMod or the CSS+Gmod.

I don't think you'll even have much in the way of textures, if you don't already have the Orange Box stuff. Not sure on that though, since I didn't buy Gmod separate until after I owned the OB.

I would buy the full OB and css first... Even if you have TF2, and you think its a waste of money buying OB, but you really need the HL and CSS stuff if you want to play properly. (well you dont NEED, but you WANT)

Hl2 content comes by default as a base FYI

Its the base of all source games.

You get HL2 props with it, buying CSS suggested. TF2, Portal generally unused in MP. I hear that MP maps use alot of ep1&2, but haven't noticed it.

Yea, majority of the textures are HL2 and CS:S, so if you don't want pink and black textures, get HL2 and CS:S, along with PHX3 (free) and Wiremod addons :3 (free)

i was thinking about getting garrys mod and i only got L4D2, but I really don't feel like buying css, tf2, portal and hl2 that i aint ever going to play anyway, i guess ill skip D:

I want to play it so bad! So i am getting TF2. That is only enough for me to play it. You can always get more later. And maybe if you're bored you could buy them to play them later anyway
