"Last played" "Hours Played"

Is it possible for these options to be enabled for non-steam games? Steam could locally store the time played and when it was last played, meaning it wouldn't even be any problem for the steam servers.

It might be.. But I have a feeling that VALVe will have to do this for practically every game ever made that is not sold on steam already.

It's possible, but not practical.

Surely it'd be possible to allow the non steam game to show the same information?

Althought I'd like to know who's playing the non-steam games I have I doubt they'd database all existing game so you can 'tell' how many hours you played and when it was the last time you did. Support the adding non-steam Games that Steam do sell suggestion. That should solve it for some of the games.

Steam wouldn't have to register every game.

Then why would you want "time played" if it would be erased from restoration, also other peoples can see how much time you've spent on those games only because it is in the database.

Who said it had to be stored remotely and people had to see it? Surely it's possible for Steam to make it stored locally and only viewable to you?
