Some problems
I just got a guest pass from my friend and I'm experiencing some major problems with Killing Floor. First of all, before anything, here are my computer specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ ~2.2GHz 2 x 512MB DDR2 ASUS EN9600GT 256MB I tried running the game with D3D 9.0 and maxed out the graphics and the resolution for me, and it was choppy as hell. I couldn't stand playing it. Even after turning down the settings a bit (and the resolution as well) I didn't quite get amazing fps or anything. Also, the loading screen tends to take ages and occasionally just freezes and I have to try to desperately ALT+Tab and/or ALT+F4 until my fingers are bleeding just to close the game. Any help with my problems? Would be greatly appreciated and if I'd get some proper solutions to them I could possibly even buy the game. Thanks in advance! |

Try setting your desktop resolution to the same as the in-game resolution. Make sure all your advanced settings are lowest as possible.
You can also trying downloading and installing GameBooster, it may increase your fps rate. link: http://majorgeeks.com/Game_Booster_d6148.html |

The thing is that I don't want my game to look absolutely terrible. My rig passes the recommended specs anyways, so that shouldn't be a problem. After all it does run games like MW2 with around medium graphics like a charm.

While I don't exactly know what your problem is, I know from personal experience that I have been able to run Killing Floor on an HP laptop with a dual core 1.8 GHz processor, 3 gigs of ram, and some sort of chipset video card. Average framerate was around 20-35, 40 if you were staring at a wall. The built in video chipset had only 128 MBs of memory, so your video card should be more than enough.
In the meantime until you can pinpoint your problem, I suggest turning down your graphic settings to be able to play properly. |

It'll run fine on a AMD 2800+ with 2gb RAM and a FX5500 OC, so you've got some serious driver issues my friend.
