Help Desk Error what now,

This is a copy on an email sent to email@support.steampowered.com

Hello

I can not login the Steam application with known user name and password.
I understand that upgrading/updating has been going on. My client(Steam App.) was updated on 4/28/10. I was able to play one time after the update took place. When finished I shut my PC (WinXP Home,SP3,32bit ) down. The next day I started the PC (cold boot) Steam set to load and remember password) I'm greeted by the login dialog box. It has my user name but no password and the remember box is checked. I figure no problem so I enter my password. Then, surprise it returns not valid user name or password. I then try to retrieve a lost password. I get the email with a code to enter. I enter the code along with my known secret phrase. This is where it gets strange. The question in the email sent with the code is "What did customer support last reset your pass phrase to?" I have it written down on paper (I have only used 3 different answers for such pass phrases in my life). Then the new password is entered. Again it returns invalid bla,bla ... I have even tried using the code from my game disk. (first release of half-life 1). and still the same results.

Who do I need to contact to regain control of my account named blyte_scrin
I have the key code from the disk case cover ( not sending it to a blind email )
I have proof of my account being used/active up until 4/28/10.
My Steam ID# is (STEAM_0:1:3720315)

I do not known if my account has been hijacked or if I am at fault on the password or pass phrase.

I then recieve a email telling me to make a support ticket. I cut and past the link in my browser and it opens to steampowered.support.com and says

HELP DESK ERROR
user is already logged in

I get this no matter what I try. 5 days of this.

Hi,

Have you tried deleting your cookies and browser cache?

By "steampowered.support.com" I'm assuming you mean "support.steampowered.com"?

sorry yes you are correxct on the address

going to try deleting cookies and cache.

Thumbs up deleting cookies worked

deleting cookies worked for the help dek error (you are already signed in problem). I was able to finish the request for a password reset. thanks for the suggestion it worked
