Unable to play
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I purchased it off Steam and I really want to play this game very badly.
I'm currently running Windows 7 Radeon HD 4670 4GB Ram Pentium Dual Core E5400 2.7ghz RealTek HD intergrated audio When i open the game. I can access the menus and the intro. But once i finish the game loading screen and start the actual gameplay. My screen goes blank for 2 seconds and the game dies. I tried running Debug mode. But it does the exact same thing. I've also tried running it under different compatability modes. But this also does not work. I have upgraded and downgraded my drivers trying to find out what is causing the game to crash. But i have hit the cieling and i need help. I bought the game due to a reccomendation from a good friend. It looks very fun. I am absolutely dieing to play it! But now i'm down 10 bucks, and i have no game. I feel ripped off. Worse yet. I was seriously eager to play this one. Now i'm not sure if i ever will get to. I sure as hell wont get my money back ![]() I'm sure you've heard it before. But it is really frustrating for Steam to let you sell a game, with no refund, knowing that for a good percentage of people. The game will not work. Sorry if that is a bit offensive. You guys worked hard on the game i bet. It looks very very fun to play. But it is very very frustrating to not be able to play it. I could have used that 10 bucks on a functional title. But i noticed you guys interact with the community. So i respect that you are trying to fix it, facing your mistakes, and not just ignoring all of us who have basically been swindled. I hope you or anyone can give me some advice to make the game at least run for a minute. This is the biggest gaming dissappointment i've had since all those Dreamcast Launch games shipped on faulty disks. |

I never got past the demo black screen with a "hello" and a cursor in the upper top left screen and have now un-installed the demo. I know they are working on fixing things but this is really bad. The idea sounded fun and I probably would have picked it up if I had liked the demo.

If they fix it. I'm sure i will be glad i purchased it.
But as of right now. I admit it. I'm jarateed off. I'm a broke guy... i skipped dinner to purchase it because i've heard alot of good things from a coworker. The game is right up my ally! I love zombies and vehicular combat! I also loved my 10 bucks. Of course it's not the dev's problem i manage my money so poorly haha. I just hope they are serious about fixing the crashing issues. |

Sounded like Death Race 2000( the real one with David Caradine) but instead of old people, bystanders and hospital patients as victims it's zombies!

Have you tried updating drivers? I have your same graphics card (but on XP) and it works perfectly.
Also, some security suites/Antivirus software plays bad trick on win7 with games. Try disabling it and test the game again. |

I've played through the whole story in XP Pro but am having problems installing it in x64 Win 7.
Yes. I haven't had this much fun since Carmageddon: Carpocalypse Now! Edit: OK, it finally started on the third attempt - but no changes were made so I have no idea what is different now than before. Splash on. Last edited by KarlMonster: 05-09-2010 at 07:26 AM. |
