crashing after starting videos

yeh.. installed without a hitch, starts up, goes through the usual videos, then boom jericho.exe has stopped working, have tried several workarounds like turning off services and startup programs, i have no reason to even attempt to update my drivers as this game is years old.. but i would like to know what graphics engine this game runs on O_o

vista home basic 64 bit anyhow, for those saying this OS works fine

also if possible can someone tell me how i stop the videos from playing? something i can add to the launch options in steam or something

ok, i got past the main menu crash by installing the physx package that came with jericho, even though i had close to the latest installed already.. now i get a full system lockup needing hard reset after the team land in the city looking at the sandstorm, any setting i can lower to make this go away?

Running Windows 7 64 no problems, you have most recent directx 9c? And you should always run most upto date drivers as they contain fixes for games and tweaks for instuctions to send to the hardware.

physx install? Wasnt it a vcredist?

Have the same problems. Installed, re-installed. Starts up, view cinematics, crashes when the Splash screen appears after the videos.
No message but "Jericho has stopped working"

w7 64 bit

which cpu model?
btw, any cpu with 1,4 Ghz is far below minimum requirements, Jericho needs a Pentium 4 with 3,4 Ghz just to run, and a Core Duo is highly recommended.

The game came out 3 years ago, the demo runs fine, it shouldn't matter.

Update your PhysX drivers (download the 9.something package from nVidia's website, as they now own PhysX witch was from Ageia at first) and the game will start. It what I had to do in order to play the game. If it don't solve the problem, consult the log.html file located in "Steam/SteamApps/common/clive barker's jericho/" it should give interesting results to troubleshoot the problem.

Does anyone have the link to the latest Physx drivers?
The one I tried to install errored saying that the version I have now is newer than the one I'm trying to install...
