Why no demo?

The trial or buddy key is the demo if you want one of those just ask on the STO Forums and you will get one easily they are desperate to give them away there in hope that you might actually find the game fun and sub.

Anyway, I download it from Steam. But I can't login with my earlier account, which I maded to the beta or Champions Online. The older or exist Cryptic accounts are working with trial or I need to register a new one?

Downloaded and tried to log in, but I get the message "Do you still have a buddy key available?"

Has anyone been able to log in yet?
