Massively Increase your Download rates.

So I've been downloading Portal for a few HOURS now, so I checked to see if there was anything I could do. I found this: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...8571-GLVN-8711

If you Forward the Ports listed there you will greatly increase your download rates. Mine jumped from 80-100KB/s to Almost 1MB/s

I know most people here probably already know about this, but I thought I would post for those who don't.

P.S. New Steam user here.

Where do you go to configure the ports?...or whatever. Sorry, I'm not much of a computer wiz.

You could just use Little Snitch (Application, google it if you want), you can block/allow connections to anything on a app to app basis.

I am currently getting between 2.4 - 3.0 MB/S. Would changing the port increase it?
