Downloading Games while away

Is there a way to have steam games download when I'm away from my computer? When I go away for a while my computer sleeps and stops steam from downloading anything.

Yeah, it's a major pain in Windows 7. They tried to make things more organised, but the result is that it's become a lot more difficult to find what you want.

go to control panel and system and security then go to power options and tick "never" under the sleep options. Then leave your pc on to download or use logmein for remote access to download.

It's really hard, you press start and type "Power Settings". It takes an entire three seconds.

I remember using Vista and hating how it was. 2 (3?) years later and whenever I go into work and have to use XP I hate that now (not hate, dislike).

Not really, it is easier. Type "Power" into start, click "Power Options" and change the plan, very easy.
