Torchlight Console

Hey guys, I just recently found out what a console is in Torchlight but haven't enabled it. I wanted to know more about it because people say it marks you as a cheater. What I want to know is, if the console is enabled and you do get marked as a cheater, what happens?

And to the people who do use the console, is it worth it and are there any negative things to it such as the game gets corrupted or glitched.

Thanks.

Only certain commands in the console get labeled you a cheater. Getting labeled a cheater means you cant access your shared stash, for one.

Leveling up with the console is an example of something that you would get labeled a cheater for. Using the command to move you up a level wont.

What about if I used it to spawn money or give myself skill/stat points? Would I be flagged as a cheater then?

Those would probably flag you as well. There are mods around that dont flag you as a cheater that can do things like that.
