Awesome game!
This game was awesome!
I sided with the European Union and played as a good guy. I took great pains to minimize causualties and damage to surroundings. I'm pretty sure that affected the ending movie which I thought was great. The EU starts out with only one province and little money, which was a real pain because every time I captured a new province someone captured one I wasn't defending. That was until I had a big enough force to split it into two. That called for both battlefield tactics AND big scale strategy. I also enjoyed that, except for the ending movie, the videos throughout the game was made like news reports on TV. One thing I didn't understand though was why the Russians randomly dropped aid on the battlefields. I recommend this game to all strategists out there. |

So, any tips for a new player? I find this game very hard, and could use some pointers.

Guess I'm just going to have to take your word for it because I can't get it to run. Freaks out on systems with more than two gigs of ram, apparently.
Someone is currently still making money off Shattered Union, so it sure would be nice if that someone would patch the damn game for current systems running current OS. |
