Vice City Not Loading
Vice City does not load at all, I see no window when I launch it. The processes gta-vc.exe and rundll32.exe (with a target of C:\Windows\system32\gameux.dll) just hang indefinitely. I am running Windows 7 x64. Someone help me fix this please.
I think maybe that gameux.dll is corrupted. |

That didn't do anything. I just found that clicking play again makes the game launch. So it's basically running two games at the same time, but for some reason the first copy does not load properly.

This is happening to me too, the EXACT problem. This also happens whenever i try to run GTA III, and GTA: San Andreas as well. They were working fine at least 6 months ago, but now they will not launch at all.
I've tried verifying the cache as well as deleting all local data and reinstalling... nothing changes... is there something wrong with some kind of new 'patch' they released ? |

I too am having problems
When I run vice city the game doesn;t start instead an unhandled exception c0000005 @ address 006f5330 comes up in background, I have verified cache and confirmed fault still exists. The game had been running fine so I presume something has changed in the past 2 weeks

The fixes to remove the no cd cracks from most rockstar games broke the games for some.
There is no way to fix this. |
