CIV is in my Library twice?
When I downloaded the CIV IV complete pack, all four games showed up in the Library double up. Any fix for this?

But other games that are both PC/Mac don't do that. Portal doesn't, for example. It's not a big deal, but I do wonder why they can't clean it up for Civ IV, too.

For whatever reason, the library does show up the CIV games twice - but then, I only use the Mac Library filter on my machine, so I have no issues with it, as it only appears once (obviously).

Unlike Portal, the Civ games are published by different companies, which is why it's split up.

I don't think anyone outside of Valve really knows why they're doubled. There was a short time when they were combined, but the games wouldn't work for anyone. They started working again when they used separate entries.
I'm sure there's a good reason for it, but I have no idea what that reason is. At least its only four games. Though the games' news seems to only show up in the Windows entries, which is a minor annoyance (but unimportant really). |
