"Steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers." Help!

Every time i try to login to my steam account, i get this pop up telling me that: "Steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers." . I've tried to read the troubleshooting tips link button , but non of it worked!

doe's anyone know how to fix this?

I'm having the same problem

just fixed it, delete the file 'clientregistry.blob' in the steam folder

I was having the same problem to. Delete the ClientRegistry.blob file and the AppUpdateStats.blob file and restart steam and it should work. Make sure you're running steam as an admin also. If you don't delete the appupdatestatus file steam won't start.

wow... now it Just says Could not connect to steam network

Try deleting the files again, then restart your PC before trying to run steam again.

I've deleted those file now , i got a pop up saying it didn'thave any internet connection so i restarted steam and it worked perfectly!

Now that I have deleted those files, it tries to update but says "Cannot contact the Steam network, please try later."

I am able to log in now but my friends list shows 0 friends online although I had them verify that they are online and they can see each other. Any fix for this?

I restarted after I deleted the files, and it still did not work. However, running as administrator has fixed the problem. Strange. Thanks!

Are you running steam as an admin?
