What happens to Prophet?

So, I finished the game and Prophet is revealed to be alive on the nuked island, but I'd like to know what happens to him after. Does he die?

Nobody knows at the moment, except maybe the Crysis 2 dev team.

I seem to recall an interview on Crysis 2 saying that some military on the ground in NYC will be mistaking Nomad for Prophet. That's about all we know, at least so far as I know.

IMHO, seems to imply that he survived, at least for a little while--or gave people reason enough to think he did.

(Totally random sidenote: If Prophet's still alive, Psycho had better be too. Or Crytek and I are gonna have words.

ANyway, the reason I asked is because I though we discovered more about him in Warhead but that's not the case, apparently.

Nah, jokes, in all seriousness, I believe during his capture he saw someone he dearly loved or someone he knows or someone who helped him get out and now he will do whatever he can to get him/her back. Seems pretty reasonable with his actions.

It's been so long since I've played Crysis I don't even remember how it ends. Right now I'm away from home and on laptop, ATI Radeon 3650 = no good for Crysis***.

Crysis 2 looks like it's going to be kickass though. I can't wait to find out what happens next, and I will definitely play through Crysis again first when I get the chance.

***Ok, so that may not be totally true, but I just MUST have the graphics and physics cranked!

Warhead was set before the carrier level, so no.

how jarateed would you be if the story in New York was actuaolly parallel to the original crysis and we would not see prophet or nomand until Crysis 3 lolz

Crysis 2 takes place several years after the first game. It's probable that you play a different character in the sequel due to a different suit and location. I hope not.
