DotP.exe has stopped working

I am hoping someone may be able to help me. When I run the game the screen mode changes and then the game crashes. Windows returns "DotP.exe has stopped working". Any ideas for a solution to my problem?

What OS are you running?

I'm having the same problem. I'm running Vista Home 32bit 2GB.

Someone help me, please.

I've reinstalled twice, tried to make it windowed. I don't know what else to do.

Did you try running it in compatibility mode?

Did anyone try to delete the local content and redownload it or check the cache integrity of the steam game?

yeah it works on win 7(32bits either) !

after run verify integrity of game cache

worked on win 7 64 bit professional...
then I changed all the graphical settings to the highest and exited the game
if I run it now, I just keep seeing the black screen

Tried compatibility mode in every mode, verified twice, reinstalled twice, ran as administrator. Nothing.

It doesn't even tell me what's wrong, just "DotP.exe has stopped working".

Check in Windows application logs:
Right click My Computer ---> Manage.

Video card is Nvidia Geforce 8200, fully updated.
I don't think it's the card or it's drivers, but I may be wrong.
