Plane attack

..i keeps seeying in Bad company 2 ONLINE...

Very often in the last couple of days i see this plane attacking the playing ground, on random spots an various maps...It just comes at high speed with machine guns firing in a line on the ground.

Is that some kind of airstrike to unlock? I ask because i dont find info about it online and IT DOES damage human players, so its not just the cosmetic background battle.

must had been a coincidence (someone else dealing damage to the target at the same time]

all such stuff is purely visual afaik, with the exception of bombardment in the round outro animations (not all of them either)

That may well be the case. But it would be a strange coincidence. Once i was slighlty damaged exactly when the line of fire passed near me.

Another time in that big rush desert map, in wich you need to reach the city, this plane came blasting straight down the road at the beginning...and when the shots passed over the human guided tanks, it produced sparks from them, as regular game bullets do, no idea if it damaged them though..

Its all for show, they don't do anything. Stand on top of point C on Laguna Alta when the US wins and you'll see what I mean.

what might have damaged you is sometimes they set them up to blow up explosive barrels and crates and you may have been caught in the blast from those and took dmg that way.

They themselves don't do damage. You may have actually been hit by a stray tank shot.

they don't do damage but if you get clipped by one while flying you can die from the crash after, I've been knocked into the boat on atacama a couple times do to the three helo's that fly around.

Are you talking about the UAV (small RC helicopter) or an actual plane?

If you are asking me, there are three havoc's that fly in formation around atacama and they are physical clippable objects and will knock you out of the sky if you happen to fly through their path. Not talking about the UAV.

You cannot drive/call upon planes, only mortars, and only helicopters.

If dice were to add planes and have them go at the speed you see in the maps where they strafe a target, the maps would have to be very very large, I'm talking Atacama desert x100

I'm not talking of the UAV, and i'm not talking of the far away Havocs..
I'm talking PLANES that come down and attack the field of play with direct gunfire.
Not background fire, not far away cosmetic explosions..a stream of bullets..i will try to capture a video and show you if i have the chance.

I know what planes yer talking about, and I can verify 100% that they do nothing. I've been standing in the line of fire from them multiple times, and not a single time have I taken a single bit of damage. Must have been coincidence when you thought you got hit by one.

Yeah and they'd have to raise the skybox, the current one is really close to the ground.
