xbox360 controller for oddworld!

was really hoping to get some people to agree with me that this game needs to be updated to accept the xbox 360 controller. maybe if enough people post in this thread they will update it!
please post if u agree with me. this game deserves to be played the origional way. with a controller!

I have the game myself and would like to see controller support.

Because of the lack of controller support, I find myself sticking sausages up my buttocks unfortunately...

The controller is not the original way. Oddworld was released for both PC and PlayStation. Also, I think it's much easier with a keyboard. Especially when using the Gamespeak feature.

how do you even do gamespeak on a controller? i have only ever played the pc version

yea but when ur playing this game on a big tv while sitting on a couch a keyboard isnt the best method. besides the gamespeak feature can easily be modified to holding one button then all the joystick directions can be used as speak commands.
i appreciate your insight but i was hoping to get replies from just the people who would want to see this game work with a controller. You already have your keyboard now let me work on getting the controller to work too. thanks!

i was going to buy the pack of both abe games. but i dont think i wanna anymore if they dont let u use controller. i have enough games that use mouse/keyboard.
i jus really wanted to play these games because i remember them from when i was younger. totally awesome games!

If I remember correctly from when I have played it on the playstation, you held either L1 or R1 and then used the Triangle, Square, O and X buttons.

But you can always use a emulator program to assign keys like Pinnacle game profiler or xpadder, right?

Try XPadder, works for most games and supports the PC 360 controller. I have it, just haven't tried it with these games yet.

Believe me, it's a lot more intuitive than the PC controls.

Alright how does LT / RT work ?

If you want to play with a controller, the PS1 recommended button configuration is as follows for a PS1/PS2 or Xbox 360 controller:

PS/XB
L1/LB: Gamespeak
L2/LT: Gamespeak
R1/RB: Run
R2/RT: Sneak
∆/Y: Jump
O/B: Throw
X/A: Crouch
□/X: Action
