DL rate?

Am I the only one getting a just awful DL rate on this game? I'm getting very choppy, <<< 1meg/sec. I've been DLing for 12+ hours and am only ~80% done. I've tried resetting the connection to no effect.

Is this just a run on the server from the sale, or am i missing something? My connection is 50 Meg/sec cable, btw.

At least you are downloading it. Every couple of minutes mine quits downloading because "the servers are too busy". It is really annoying to have to manually start up the download again after 10-15 minutes.

Took me all day to get it downloaded, started around 10am this morning didnt finish until around 8pm. It was really choppy, it would stop and start alot. I have tomorrow off to play it all day though

You guys are so lucky, I'm stuck with a max DL of 100KB/s for everything, not just STEAM downloads, it's the max my line can take.

You can always try setting Steam to try another download server.

Steam->Settings->Downloads

The steam servers are busy with this huge summer sale so i think that's slowing us down quite a bit on our downloads.

I can't even start my download

It's going to take me like 2 days to DL this over my crappy connection, I'd like to get started ASAP.

I'm having the same problem with installing this game. I have a 6mb connection, so usually my downloads will stay around 700kbs. This game seems to peak and stay at 100kbs.

I stopped the download last night thinking that it would be better today...to no avail. Still peaking around the 100 mark. Sometimes it will pause itself and say "Suspended". Anyone else have their download do this?
