Hi, i'm playing this game on mac OS X 10.6.4
I see the menu, i hear the music, i see my mouse pointer .... but it doesn't do anything when i clic. The keyboard isn't working either so all i can do is command-option-escape out of the game. ![]() Anyone knows how to fix this? |

I get the same thing, im on 10.6.4 and i cant even launch the game it just opens and closes really quickly and keeps looping like that. so i decided to go to the makers website downloaded the demo and i get the same error you have, cant type or click on anything on the game window, hopefully there will be a fix :/

same here
I have a 2009 mac pro (still running 10.6.3 as well, because of the nvidia issues in 10.6.4) and I get no input from either the keyboard or the mouse in Chains' first screen.
I logged a steam support ticket for this several days ago but no reply so far. any one got this game working on OSX? |

I'm getting this exact same problem. I'm on a quad-core Mac Pro running 10.6.4. The only keyboard input that works when the game is running is ⌘Q or ⇧⇥ (for the steam overlay)

yup, same here. I've also got a quad macpro.
the only input that works is the steam overlay and command-option-escape to kill the process. looks like no one got this running under OSX then? |

My keyboard has no response, either.
I use 2007 Macbook 13" running OSX 10.5.8. |

This seems to be a conflict with USB Overdrive. The game works correctly for me when it is disabled.

You're a lifesaver! I didn't even realize I was using USB Overdrive on this computer, I thought I was still using SteerMouse, but I double-checked and that was indeed the culprit. Adding a new settings entry for Chains.app and unchecking the Enabled checkbox worked!

The added bonus to me is that USB Overdrive lets me use a bunch of special buttons around the side of my nice Eclipse keyboard which were previously ignored by OS X. |
