reset perks?

I just got the game off steam like 2 days ago and while trying to find an interesting server I stumbled one that gave me instant level 6 perks. I was still too new to realize what that meant, but after a few hours i figured it out. Needless to say, i was a bit upset when I learned that i just ruined my game.

How can i reset them? I've only had the game a few days so i'd like to feel like i am starting fresh.

To intentionally reset stats:

You open the killing floor .ini and add

[Engine.SteamStatsAndAchievementsBase]
bResetStats=true

then save and exit, start up to be sure everything is reset, close the game. Reopen Killing floor.ini

Remove
[Engine.SteamStatsAndAchievementsBase]
bResetStats=true

Save .ini

Your stats are reset! Stat progression should now work as normal from 0-6 again. Be sure to remove the stat reset line, or I don't think it'll save progression. This also removes achievements.

Hi Yoshiro.

Where is this file located? I can only find a Killingfloor.int in my steam folder. I'm playing the game on OSX if that makes any difference.

It shouldnt matter as long as you don't drop it in the middle of anything else. Try the top or bottom.

Can this possibly be explotied to instantly have all your perks go up to level 6, or will that result in a VAC ban?

Perk levels don't mean anything if you're not good enough to take advantage of the levels. I'll take a good lvl 1 player over a bad lvl 6 player.

Same here. If you don't know what you're doing it doesn't matter what your perk level is. You're just a liability to the other players and you're gonna get kicked, especially on HoE.

I'm 99% certain that would get you a VAC ban.

I just wanna test the FUN of being lv6.What i want is a fps,not a level grinder that puts you in massive disadvantage if u r below lv3.

In short : SERVER IP PLZ

You aren't at a disadvantage. You play normal as level 0-2 and your perk level / power is perfect. You also gain skills by playing that level, not just grind perks.

Those skills become critical as you advance. On HOE skill is all you have to rely on. You need to be at least lvl 4 for the power, but a level 6 everything can't last one round on HOE six man multiplayer if all they did was grind perk points.

Being a level 6 is meaningless without the skill. You can't even "play" with it because it will make you much worse. Work up focusing on skill and the perks leveling will come naturally.
