Talking Amazon vs Steam

http://www.amazon.com/Arma-2-Combine...7864605&sr=1-1

They are about the same price but the Amazon page has a 22% discount at the moment. How can I find out how long that will last for in case I buy it in a week?

you only save 2.2% not 22% X( off the steam price if amazon version takes off their discount it would be 10 dollars more.
and you have to wait 5-8 bussiness days wich you cannot request weekends if you do the free delivery.

So for saving 3 dollars you get to wait upto 1 and a half weeks for it to deliver.

And then its not the steam version, where you can just go online and download, The moment you buy it.

But its a plus to have it physically.

But If I am going to buy it physically , I rather walk across the street to Gamestop and get it in 5 minutes instead of 5-8 days no weekends. for 49.99
a that is 3 dollars more but i get to play it now.

Yeah.. I read somewhere that combined arms will only be available in some countries. Have a look at Sprocket by the way. They have a pretty good price, especially if you do not have to pay VAT.

I'd like a boxed copy though. How do I know when Amazon will decide to remove the 22% discount? Sorry to be a pain.

You have over 400 posts on the steam users' forums, and I was done with boxes, discs, and keycodes after the first game I bought on steam. So just out of curiosity, why would you like a boxed copy?

I have very slow, unreliable internet with a 25Gb monthly allowance so it's nice to have a few games on disc in case I don't have a Steam backup ready when my internet is acting shy. It also comes with an instruction book!
