Game Freeze info + need help.

Ok...so many of you know about the random game freeze. This happens between a map and another. I notice a half-a-second pause when entering the next area of the level. That's the map change. The freezes happen at that spot.

The fix? I don't know it.

It can't be the fault of my system specs....I'm sure of that. It could be my os though....not sure.

Btw...I did search other threads and google the problem. No fixes.

You shouldn't have to, and I don't know for sure if it will help, but you might want to change your video options.

I also noticed that I got this a lot when saving like a few steps before a new map area.

Well, the map loads do take some time (not very long), but it should say "Loading" at that point.

If it really bothers you, you can try setting up an exception in your firewall for Steam\SteamApps\yourname\half-life\hl.exe. I don't know if that will work, though.
