LoL Shift+TAB Issue

Hello everybody,
There's an issue with the shift+tab option while playing lol (in game itself). After you reply to your friend/check the time/whatever and you go back to the game keys don't work. It's like keyboard stopped working, and to fix it you have to minimize the game, and go back. I know it doesn't sound too serious, but believe me it's very annoying... so well I wanted to ask you guys to fix it please?

Just wondering--does the game slow down if you are in Steam? I'm playing from a netbook, so it could be a big deal for me. It would be nice to be able to chat on steam, but I can't really afford to have it slow down anymore than it already is, haha.

They should make it so you can voice chat with someone on steam if they are on your team even if they are not your steam friends. How awesome would that be?

I've the same issue about the Steam overlay, I posted on LoL forums aswell with no luck.

Do you have multiple languages installed on your computer? It is possible that it switched into a different language (?)

Also, try changing the hotkey for Steam. Maybe if you use a different key combination, it wouldn't cause a problem? Like I said, I've never tried it, but it might just work.

Windows 7 in Spanish, Steam and LoL in English.

Will try to change the hotkey, but what it's strange is that it's only the UI of LoL who loose focus, not the map himself (ie: you can move your char, but can't click on spells).

Hmmm..weird. Can you use other keys though, like locking/unlocking camera, score board, etc?

I think you will get a better response by reporting it at bug forums at LoL's site.

Since I have not personally experienced this issue, I would prefer to not be the one to post it. But if I don't see it by tomorrow, then I'll put up one.

I already reported in LoL forum before this one, after 1 or 2 persons ACK the prob the post is lost in the support forum somewhere (reply e-mails are not working, and you can't even search the forum).

But for sure not any official response.

We're 3 playing LoL via Steam here, and the 3 have the same problem.

I guess the population of people that uses steam is very low, so you guys are not getting the priority in bug fix. Hopefully they will get to it eventually.

I do also have this minor issue. It is solved by alt tabbing out and back to LoL game itself. But its pretty annoying when you want to reply using the steam UI and have to alt-tab to fix it. By the way, I hear there is LoL "steam version" but I don't see it anywhere.

It seems not available in all countries, for example a friend in Switzerland can't see it, but for me in Spain it's ok.

It's easy to get around this. After doing shift + tab. Do what you want, then when you shift + tab back into the game (or click the button at the top middle)

Just press shift once and then tab once, fixed!

Well alt-tab is a work aground too, but will try yours thanks neo, but anyway if I buy a game trough steam I expect it to work correctly within Steam and not doing fancy tricks :P

but thats just normal to use shift-tab, the problem is that this does not work in LoL. as said, we have to alt-tab to use chat, which is annoying as hell.
