GTA IV - activation

I downloaded that big monster GTA IV and after that Steam asked me for elevation (admin password), which I did give. Then a message box pops up installing GfW and stuff? But after that an activation box is popping up having some wierd progress bar fluctuation and finally just says "Activation failed" with only manual or cancel buttons and "contact securom if the problem persists"...
I mean, what the hell? I just want to play! What am I supposed to do now, god**mit?!?

my copy hasnt finished dl'ing yet. So I can only guess. Will post again, when I'm running mine
Did you try manual activation? what happens then?

:edit:

ok. finished dl and started game. it did activate automatically and is now running great. Just tried single player only.
Maybe you have to redownload it.
