TF2 crashes when choosing class.

Title actually says it all. The screen where you choose a team is also ed up, the "doors" are gone, but you can see them stretched out underneath... When choosing a class, the game just crashes. What can I do?

Same problem here. I think we have to wait for a new update, since that's when everything went downhill for me.

I think it was caused by the new update. I wasn't having a problem until about 20 minutes ago after it did an auto update.

Same thing is happening to me. I think that the latest update ed it up, which really sucks as I wanted to try my hand at getting a golden wrench. I don't even manage to get to the choose a class screen before the game quits. Feels bad man.

Also, the welcome screen is strange: http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/1260/...ing2010070.png

Also having all the same issues since that latest little update.

I echo the sentiments of it being a huge bummer, especially considering the gold wrench-rush.

hopefully they sort it out soon....

Yup, I'm right there with you. This is the exact issue. I just restarted my Mac and I'm going to see if it happens.

I suppose we'll be the first to know what the next revealed Engineer item will be. While the Windows users are still playing, we'll be crashing the blog's server(s).

EDIT:
I suppose it would be a good idea to put up specs...

Macbook Pro from late 2009 (Unibody)
4 GB RAM
OSX 10.6.3
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M

Eh this is depressing. Can't play just when I'm really wanting to. I'm guessing the new update ed all us mac users over.

Same macbook pro here except it has a 9400m and a 9600 gt. You can swap between them by swapping from "Better battery life" to "High performance on the Energy Saver system preferences menu.
