Are you connected to Steam with a valid Steam Account?
Are you referring to COD MW2? |

That's a bit strange.
You are in on-line mode and not off-line for Steam? Do you launch the game through the Steam Interface or do you use the shortcut or some other method? I use this Steam Page (if I try and use the shortcut it sometimes does not run the SP game): http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...26_Downloa.jpg Try and change the properties for the game (right mouse click the game in the Steam Interface) and select properties) to not keep the game up-to-date and then back again. This triggers a check for updates for me. If that fails rename the Miles folder and then verify the game cache - the very least it should do is to reacquire the Miles folder data. By renaming the folder you won't get in-game music (which I prefer to have off anyway). |

I've had this issue a couple of times in the past, and the fix for me was to go into the game properties (by right-clicking the game) and then clicking "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" under the Local Files. This checks to make sure that the files on the Steam servers match what's on your computer.
Not certain this will help, but it might be worth a shot. |
