Why so slow

I have CSS on max setting with some AA and AF. Something a much older PC would handle just fine, but my mac I just bought has low frame rates with this game.

Specs:
10.6.4
core i5 2.4ghz
Nvidia 330GT
1680 x 1050

Why does it perform so badly?

You should disable AA. It causes a huge performance hit due to issues with the OS X graphics drivers. I think you'll prefer a higher framerate over smoother polygon edges.

I have been spoiled by AA lol. Is a graphics driver update expected soon? Also, I noticed when looking on the nvidia site I couldn't find a section to download driver updates for macs. Where can I find these drivers?

I do not think you will see an nvidia driver for awhile. If you go to nvidia's website... you'll get a pretty good chukle from the date on there.

Nvidia doesnt directly produce drivers for their own cards on macs.... sad i know, but they have to play by apple's rules, so apple writes the drivers

No, Nvidia write the drivers, with Apple's input. These are released in OS X updates.
