Exactly this. It's a shame people can't just play the game for 20 minutes before passing judgement on it. That's all you need to see that Eversion is much different to SMB.

super mario bros wasn't even released on a SEGA console.
I don't even think there were any specific Mario titles for the Gameboy color, it was just compatible with the old black and white Super Mario Land titles.

It's obvious the original post is a joke or troll, but just wanted to clear that up.
Beyond the first couple of levels Eversion bares little resemblance to the Mario games.

By the way, Half-life wasn't a Quake ripoff, they ripped off the story from Doom (which you could only read in the manual

Try the free low-def version first and see if you like it. That's how I did. I tried out the free version and loved it so much that I bought the steam version just before I posted this.
