Cool Very Impressed!

I bought Trine months ago, in a Steam deal and never played it. Some other game would always drag me away from doing so. So yesterday with nothing new to play, I thought well let’s give this Trine game a go.

And oh my, what a game I have been missing. First off the graphics and atmosphere in the game are nothing short of breathtaking. The detail that the dev team have put in to this game is very cool.

The characters even though very little is told about them in the story are very memorable and I loved how they talked to each other. The controls take about 30 mins to get used to. And this game play is very addictive. I spend the whole day playing the game none stop from the beginning to the end in one session. I loved it that much.

And then to read there will be a Trine 2 made my day. I gave this game 95/100 it's really that good.

-----------------------------------------------------------

To the devs I see you read this forum which again is very cool, and I don't know if you are taking feedback for Trine 2? But here is something stuff I would love to see in the game.

The Knight I used him 90% of the time in combat but I didn't feel he had enough moves. Would love to be able to use a lot more different weapons. Use the shield more, such as shield bash. And make his carry item ability more exclusive. So that he can move stuff that the Wizard can’t because of their weight.

The Thief, being agile should have a slightly higher jump that the other two. Also the thief should be able to scale brick walls. Loved the thief’s bow don’t change it. Maybe add different arrows like an ice arrow that can freeze a mob, or an exploding arrow that can blow up on impact.

The Wizard maybe able to use elemental magic. E.g. can make an unlimited number of ice blocks and ledges, but they melt and have a time of say 10 seconds. Or can create rain to raise water levels to reach an area etc...

Different bad guys. I would like to see in the sequel enemies like Goblins, Ogres, and Trolls etc... With more boss fights.

Add quests to give out items instead of chests. E.g. you meet a little girl and she asks you to rescue her cat stuck at the top of a tree. You scale the tree. Rescue the cat. Return to the girl. She gives you a cat charm. That lets the thief jump higher.

The game visuals are amazing would love to see maybe more environment physics, pretty much like how the Knight would sink faster than the other two in water.

E.g.1. you’re on a Snowy windy mountain side. The wind effects movement makes the Thief, jump higher, the Wizards blocks move slowly in the wind, the knight being heavy is better suited to movement.

E.g.2. you’re in a thunder storm the Knight is more likely to get hit by lightening so use the other two.

I loved the simple but nice story that went with trine. But would have loved to have more cut scene with the story.

Hope you don't mind positive feedback on your game, these are just some things I think would make a great game even better.

Thanks Raxzor

We don't mind at all, thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the game, and there's some good stuff here - I'm not making any promises but I'm sure you'll be happy with Trine 2 once it's out. The trailer gives some hints...

I love the features list at the end of the trailer:

Giant Mushrooms!
A Greedy Toad!
+500% More Rainbows!

Made me laugh.

Also, the online co-op feature will be very much welcomed by all, I think.

Online co-op will also extend the life of the game by a ton. Because even after you beat the game yourself and got all the achievements, you can still have fun playing with friends or random people! I think I am most excited about the online co-op.
