To those complaining about lack of content...
Besides the fact that it's free, it does have the word ALPHA in the title; what'd you expect? Wait till Moonbase: BETA or full release (just Moonbase?) before judgement.

The game isn't an alpha despite the word in the name. But... good point!
![]() Though you could say it is an "alpha test" for our future game projects... so maybe it is well-named after all! |

Well this game is great as-is we really just need new maps. The engine is down, mechanics down, new maps and situations could expand the game without as much effort as making another game. Simply more dynamic designs, like a star-shaped base with tons of ramps for drones or many other types of layouts can extend game enjoyment and make for interesting gameplay with friends.

I say release mod tools for this - let the community develop it! It'll be just like gmod

I don't want to play a simulator ruined by gmodism (new word, I just made it up, imprint it in your mental dictionaries). Everyserver would run diffrent mods and nothing would be compitable with anything else. Every time you connect to a server you would have to download a few new mods and you wouldn't be able to use some of those mods you value the most because the servers won't have them. The game would no longer be a simulator because you can't control that the community makes real stuff and not just silly and/or unrealistic stuff. |

Just letting the community make maps shouldn't cause that many problems.

Maps would be fine, but if the community started making tools we would soon see propspawners, advanced duplicators and the G-man with an inflated head chasing players around Pluto in a bathtub on wheels.

Releasing a map tool to the community could be a great way to help maintain the popularity until the next release. Otherwise people are just going to get bored if there's no new maps to play on.
Even if it's limited to the crater as a location, people will want some variety. Would be cool to be able to plug into the landers as well. |
