What Are Griefing Tactics We Should Look Out For?

Gentlemen (and Ladies),

It is I, KaosAngel, and as with all new hotly anticipated games...we will have those who grief.

As a man who has a busy working day, I have never been given the chance to play it for UT2k4, and as such...I would dislike it if my first few games were with the Halo Generation who contantly griefed.

As long time fans of Alien Swarm, what are some griefing warnings we should look out for and how do they do such tactics?

Which are the worst ones, and just some advise overall.

And (guessing) one person could refuse to move etc.

when you're using a flamethrower, watch out for people shooting fuel tank on your back

unless you want to become a human torch

The only purpose of this thread is to feed little kids with ideas on how to be obnoxious in the game. No good will come of this. And this is why I'll be playing with my friends.

If you see a guy named Jimyd(me), or Moses(someone else :P), expect some "funny" stuff to happen.

That is if I must play with random people; trying to get at least 3 people on my Friends List to Co-op together is what I am going for at first.

In Swarm Classic, it was primarily tking. There was some mic spam, welding of doors, early spawn triggers, and a few other things, but mostly it was the tking. Watch out for people taking multiple flame throwers, anything with grenades, no guns, explosives, flashlights on their autoguns, etc.

Typically, tkers were dealt with by tking them until they left. Start map, kill tker, continue as normal. Kick-voting also works.

Tell people to stay near doors that can squash them.

That's not griefing, that's tradition.

Pick a medic, get 2 medkit packs, don't even pack a pistol.

Refuse to heal anyone who gets infested with a parasite.

There is a player called Moses, here since the beginning and still active on the BCG forums, renowned for his extreme intolerance of newbie mistakes. One slip, and it's a shotgun blast for you with no warning.

He has such a reputation that Jonathan posted this:
