How do you get aliens to find and attack the player?
I want them go from far away and try to attack the player. When I spawn them, they only stand there. How can I do this?

Short answer: info_node entities.
Long answer: the info_node entity creates a sensory web that the AI uses to detect the player outside of direct individual sight. They basically need to carpet the level. |

I know noding, but I want them to go after the marines even if they are really far away.

use asw_spawners
And under orders (or something similar to that) change it to "go to nearest marine" |

Just place a bunch of ground nodes around your level.
Krazy3: no. |

Lol what do you mean no? he already said that he was using ground nodes on his level and that the problem was that the aliens were not responding to the player at the distances that he wanted. Therefore enabling them to detect players at a further range would help fix his problem
