How about how often they repeat dialog? That's killing the game for me.

Just an information: You can increase the Draw Distance just typing "cumdal" while playing. For v1.2+ and steam version.

As the mod basically breaks the game by presenting sometimes unplayable fps (draw distance should have been fine tuned for modern PCs not turned off entirely), the "cumdal" cheat does a much better job: fps doesn't suffer and the game looks a lot nicer. The only problem is that it's a pain in the *** to have to type it in every time there's a loading screen. Isn't there some way to make this setting stay there permanently?

I love story driven games and am really loving Mafia 2 so far (chapter 9). It has gorgeous graphics, great voice acting, good storytelling. I am not at all bothered its a short game as i never pay full price for a game anyway. I also tried playing the original mafia on ps2 and found it punishingly hard so gave up on it. This is one of the best better games this generation. Way too underrated.
Really looking forward to Mafia 3.
