Price
Loved this game way back, and I'm sure I would have some fun with it today, but I can't justify spending $20 on such an old game that you can find in bargain bins for much, much less.
Here's hoping the price will come down eventually. No real point to this thread other than expressing my thoughts. Have a good one! |

Agreed, seeing how the retail Sim City box is $20 and that includes like 3 other games this is hard to justify. I'll buy it when it comes down in price. I already have a boxed copy, just hate swapping discs!

Seriously... 20 bucks is not a sale for me. This is very old and only worth 10 bucks. The second it goes on sale I will buy it, but for 20 dollars, no thank you.

I'm with you all on this one. I checked a few other places, and I could get the boxed version of this for much less. I'm holding out for $9.99.

Agree, 15 euros is complete nonsense.
Plus, there's still the crash problem that 2003 version still got. |

Yup, the price is pretty ridiculous. $20 for a 7-year-old game... no thanks. Maybe if it were updated for modern PCs, it would be worth it, but nope. EA is bleeding its acquired properties to death.

Price is way too much currently. On Amazon, you can pick up the deluxe edition for $12.97 (6 bucks for used).

I also agree that it's too much currently. I've seen this in a used bookstore for less, and that was a few years ago!
To be honest though, I think the Perils of Summer sale really skewed my perception on how much a game should cost. |

Deluxe on amazon is just £6. Its £10 on steam here... Its not the biggest price difference I've seen, and I suppose you do have the convenience of having it on steam, meaning you never have to scramble for the CD or the manual to get the code. Still, I know which one I would go for if I didnt already own it!

I agree. If they had a 75% off sale, I would get it but $20.00 for an old game, NO WAY!
