[Escape] The Escapist

*Sips tea*

So, I'm actually pretty new to the whole SDK thing in general, but quickly got the basics at hand, and whipped up something as practice. What did I bake? This escape map, called "The Escapist".

The whole map is pretty simple, and makes use of many of the basics I learned.
Kill the infinite numbers of aliens that tries to kill you on the way. Breach the doors, welding and hacking is not available. Reach escape point. And the map is only a north-pointing direction.

So aye. It's simple.

The download can be received from here.
Downloadable

The starting room.

The first room, after breaching the first door will be filled with regular drones. They will only spawn after you have touched a specific area.
The second room is filled with jumping drones. The the queen will be in the final room, with some rangers and four doors to breach.

I would like some opinion for my first try. I have released five alpha version by now, and will probably continue with this until I have reached it's almost perfection.
It's first version was nearly impossible to do alone, and it didn't even have the queen yet. I toned it down quite a bit on the newer version.

Things to fix:
-Spawn behavior (Med priority) - Most of the seem rather stationary. It's bothersome.
-New tilesets (Low priority)- Who cares. I'll fix the content before the visual.
-Queen's room (High priority) - God, this is rather boring.
-Map feature (Med priority) - I wonder if I should remove the pre-assembled turret?
-Map thumbnail (Low priority) - How do I even MAKE this work?

Be careful with infinite spawning, people tend to sit in a corner and wait for the swarm of aliens to end. In this case they'd be waiting for their doom.

Well, that's not really my problem, to be honest. The main objective was to escape, and not to remain silent. And as I have warned about the infinite spawns, the players might want to save their bullets for the doors instead, which shouldn't be an issue, as I provided loads of ammopacks.

Right, so I have updated the map. It should look a little better by now.

Still figuring out how to make the aliens breach the doors.

aliens should automatically do this so long as humans are on the other side
